Introducing The Afterskool Writing Club

Are you a creative person? Do you have projects that you’re passionate about, but want to make even better? I can help with that. Allow me to invite you to join The Afterskool Writing Club.

The Afterskool Writing Club is a brand-new community I’m creating on the Skool platform to help creative people make their projects even better. Editing a project you love can be scary. Coming up with new and exciting ideas in the midst of writer’s block can be difficult. But it all doesn’t have to be. The Afterskool Writing Club is meant to be a friendly and respectful community where people can share any project they’re working on and receive constructive feedback and ideas for improvement from a community of likeminded individuals. The community can also help creators overcome writer’s block and develop ideas for a project if they need that. But I also know that putting your work out there can be daunting, so members aren’t required to post. If you just want to read what other people post, you’re more than welcome to do that.

My goal in launching this community is to provide creators with a platform where they can talk with other creators, and fans, so they can improve, polish and elevate their creative projects to the next level. The kinds of projects we want to workshop and talk about can fall into any category. We’ll happily help you improve or develop your novels, small excerpts, short stories, screenplays, video game concepts, original board games, and whatever other projects you share with us.

While some elements of running this community will be new to me, other areas will not. I bring professional editing and writing experience to this community. I also facilitated a similar club while a student at Hillsdale College. My purpose in sharing these credentials is to demonstrate the background and experience that I will be bringing to this new community.

Membership in The Afterskool Writing Club will cost $10 a month, but as I prepare to launch this new community, you can get in for a lot less if you act now. The first ten members who join will receive a free membership for life.

As I wrap up this rather unorthodox weekly post, I want to end with a brief message of transparency: The Afterskool Writing Club is not currently live, but it will be launching very, very soon. Ideally by this time next week, we’ll be live. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via the contact form, and I’ll get back to you with the pertinent information as soon as I can.
